This LED illuminator replaces the original Olympus BX60 Bottom illuminator. Provides a whiter, brighter light than the original, while consuming 90% less energy and generating 90% less heat. As of October 2019 the Nanodyne replacement for the BX60 illuminator includes its own collector lens, rather than the lens from the old illuminator. Just loosen the screw in the microscope to remove the old illuminator and replace it with the new Nanodyne unit.
